Reed is delighted to be working with a leading construction and engineering business in North Lanarkshire to recruit a Mandarin-speaking Finance Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing international organisation where you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function and liaising with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple regions.
Working within a friendly and collaborative team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable processes, and ensuring queries are resolved efficiently. This position would suit an organised finance professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced global business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, verify and reconcile supplier invoices, purchase orders and payment requests
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
- Communicate with suppliers, colleagues and international stakeholders in both Mandarin and English
- Respond to finance-related queries and provide support across departments
- Assist with month-end activities and preparation of financial reports
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in line with company procedures
- Support the wider finance team with administrative tasks and ad hoc projects
Candidate Requirements
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable or similar finance role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and finance/accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and international teams
