Recruiter Terms & Conditions

These Recruiter Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the UK Language Jobs website and services by employers, recruiters, recruitment agencies and other organisations advertising vacancies.

UK Language Jobs is a trading name of Multilingualvacancies.com Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("UK Language Jobs", "we", "our" or "us").

By purchasing services from UK Language Jobs, posting vacancies, accessing candidate information, or using any recruiter functionality on the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • Candidate means any jobseeker who registers with UK Language Jobs or applies for a vacancy through the website.
  • Client means any employer, recruitment agency, employment business or organisation using our services.
  • Services means all recruitment advertising, candidate search, CV database access, employer branding products, featured listings, subscriptions and related services provided by UK Language Jobs.
  • Website means https://uklanguagejobs.co.uk and any associated domains operated by us.

2. About UK Language Jobs

UK Language Jobs is an online recruitment platform connecting employers with multilingual and language-skilled candidates.

We act solely as a platform provider and do not:

  • employ candidates;
  • guarantee candidate suitability;
  • guarantee applications;
  • guarantee hires;
  • participate in employment contracts between clients and candidates.

Any employment relationship created through use of the Website is solely between the employer and the candidate.

3. Recruiter Accounts

Clients must:

  • provide accurate business information;
  • maintain up-to-date contact details;
  • keep login credentials secure;
  • ensure only authorised personnel access recruiter accounts.

You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe unauthorised use, fraud, or misuse has occurred.

4. Job Advertisements

All vacancies posted must:

  • represent genuine employment opportunities;
  • comply with UK employment and discrimination laws;
  • contain accurate information;
  • clearly identify the hiring organisation where appropriate;
  • not be misleading or deceptive.

Clients must not post vacancies that:

  • discriminate unlawfully on the grounds of protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010;
  • promote illegal activities;
  • contain offensive, defamatory or misleading content;
  • collect candidate data for purposes unrelated to recruitment;
  • advertise pyramid schemes, commission-only schemes without disclosure, or unlawful opportunities.

We reserve the right to reject, amend, suspend or remove any vacancy at our sole discretion.

5. Recruitment Agencies

Recruitment agencies and employment businesses must ensure compliance with:

  • Employment Agencies Act 1973;
  • Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003;
  • all applicable employment and recruitment legislation.

Agencies must clearly identify themselves when advertising vacancies.

6. Candidate Database Access

Where CV database access is provided:

  • candidate information may only be used for legitimate recruitment purposes;
  • information may not be sold, shared, copied or transferred to third parties without lawful authority;
  • clients must comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018;
  • candidate data must not be retained longer than necessary.

Bulk downloading, scraping, harvesting or automated extraction of candidate data is strictly prohibited.

Access may be suspended immediately if misuse is suspected.

7. Data Protection

Both parties agree to comply with:

  • UK GDPR;
  • Data Protection Act 2018;
  • Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR);
  • any applicable data protection legislation.

Clients act as independent data controllers in respect of candidate data received through the platform.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis for processing candidate information.

Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Fees and Payment

All fees are payable in accordance with the quotation, order form or subscription agreement accepted by the Client.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • invoices are payable within 7 days;
  • fees are non-refundable once services have commenced;
  • late payments may incur statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation.

We reserve the right to suspend services where payment remains outstanding.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Website, software, branding and platform content remain the property of Multilingualvacancies.com Ltd or its licensors.

Clients retain ownership of content supplied by them but grant UK Language Jobs a non-exclusive licence to publish, display and promote such content for recruitment purposes.

10. Acceptable Use

Clients must not:

  • upload malicious code;
  • interfere with platform security;
  • attempt unauthorised access;
  • use automated tools to scrape data;
  • copy candidate information outside permitted use;
  • create misleading recruiter profiles;
  • use the platform for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend access immediately for breaches of this clause.

11. Availability of Services

We aim to provide uninterrupted access to the Website but do not guarantee continuous availability.

We may:

  • perform maintenance;
  • update functionality;
  • modify services;
  • suspend services where necessary for security or operational reasons.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, UK Language Jobs shall not be liable for:

  • loss of profits;
  • loss of business opportunity;
  • loss of revenue;
  • loss of goodwill;
  • indirect or consequential losses.

Our total liability arising from any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by the Client during the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnity

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless UK Language Jobs against claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from:

  • unlawful job advertisements;
  • misuse of candidate data;
  • breach of these Terms;
  • breach of applicable laws or regulations.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate services immediately where:

  • these Terms are breached;
  • payment remains outstanding;
  • unlawful activity is suspected;
  • continued access presents a security or legal risk.

Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be published on the Website and take effect from the date displayed.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
